Human Resources Manager

Summary: Permanent, full-time position, with one of the leading IT organizations in the Midwest, located in Jasper IN, recently awarded Best Places to Work for the 5th year in a row! This position is responsible for providing members of the VP management team with human resources generalist services regarding employee relations, interpretation of company policies and procedures, compensation, recruiting/staffing and selection, performance management, supervisory training and career development.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with VP’s and other management personnel to provide human resources expertise/guidance on business operations
  • Responsible for overall administration, coordination of the field human resources function, including recruiting/staffing/selection, compensation consultation, retention tactics, labor relations, etc.
  • Implement and support Human Resources strategies, programs, and systems that help the corporation meet its business goals and maximize organization performance.
  • Deliver a range of consulting services and tools to assist leaders, individuals, and teams in the implementation of effective management practices and business processes
  • Provide employee relations support and consultation for assigned customers including handling complaints, investigations, corrective action, terminations, and policy interpretation
  • Coordinate the training and implementation of all HR programs; e.g., Benefits Open Enrollment, Annual Salary and Bonus, Annual Performance Reviews, etc.
  • Proactively provide management decision support tools and interpretation relevant to Associate information; e.g., turnover, headcount, staffing status, team profiles, etc.
  • Respond to lawsuits/EEOC charges
  • Deliver Associate Compliance Training and general Management Training
  • Conduct new hire orientation and exit interviews

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of and experience in all HR functional arenas, theory and application, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, labor relations, recruiting/staffing/selection, training and organization development desired.
  • Knowledge of all Federal and State Employment laws and regulations is preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite and Internet navigation are required. Necessary skills also include problem solving, oral and written communication, process improvement, project management, and conflict management.

Education or Formal Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent experience or PHR/SPHR certification is required.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of direct human resources experience desired with at least one assignment as an HR generalist.

Material and Equipment Directly Used:

  • Daily extensive computer usage
